Our Team

Ellen J. Faulkner, Ph.D., NCPsyA

Ellen has 40 years of experience providing psychotherapy for clients. After completing a Master of Creative Arts Therapy through Drexel University, she pursued the field of Psychoanalysis, first receiving a 6 year certification in Psychoanalysis from the Philadelphia School of Psychoanalysis and then a Ph.D. in Psychoanalysis from the Union Institute. Ellen taught at the Philadelphia School of Psychoanalysis and continues to serve as a Supervising and Training Analyst. She also received intensive training from the Global Consulting Partnership around the areas of leadership coaching and development and team building. Ellen coaches executives in major corporations and foundations which serves to enhance her ability to guide therapy clients to navigate workplace issues. Whether working in marriage counseling or in individual psychotherapy, Ellen’s approach is one of kindness, wisdom, humor, acceptance, insight and empowerment. Joanne Kling, Ed.D.

Dr. King received her Doctoral degree from Gwynedd Mercy University where she currently acts as a dissertation advisor.

Dr. Kling works with both children and adults. Some of her specialties include working with generalized anxiety, ADHD, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Depression, Grief, and Anger Management.

Dr. Kling works with all types of relationships such as parent-child, adult sibling with adult sibling, and marital partners. She also works with families.

In her work with adults, Dr. Kling provides a warm, caring and safe environment. She helps people to delve into the history of their issues and works through them with both talk therapy and, if appropriate, using behavioral tools. She particularly enjoys helping people with life transitions and helping seniors with issues around aging.

With children Dr. Kling uses both play therapy techniques and behavioral interventions. She has a special certification in Behavioral Analysis from Pennsylvania State University. In her work she also brings parents in at times to give them guidance on how to help their child through the therapy process. Dr. Kling has published and presented research on the effects of stress and anxiety on students.

Dr. Kling treats both adults and children with autism, intellectual disabilities, treating neurotypical individuals of all ages. She is a certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Specialist.

With her many years of experience, training, education, and her kind and caring nature, Dr. Kling will provide a meaningful and productive therapeutic environment.
